While Amy originally went to school for Marketing and Public Relations, she realized after becoming Project Manager at Design & Promote that project management is in her blood. Amy combines her strong organizational and administrative skills with marketing and PR expertise and passion for working with clients to develop ideas and grow their brands; these components make up her formula for success as Project Manager. The love she has for her job, coworkers, and clients keep her going.
As Project Manager, Amy is responsible for keeping the company’s projects organized and on-track. She also serves as the liaison between the web design department and clients. Internally, her responsibilities include internal administrative management and managing project timelines. With clients, Amy assists in coordinating and developing projects, meeting and strategizing with clients to help them understand their needs and goals, and managing budgets, timelines, and other aspects of a project.
How Amy came to be our project manager:
Amy joined the Design & Promote team in 2011, fresh off two internships and working a part time sales job for a healthcare provider. In search of a full time job opportunity and something closer than her at the time one and a half hour commute, she came across a position for an administrative assistant at a Naperville web design company. While the job title wasn’t all that appealing, the description matched Amy’s competences perfectly: strong marketing skills, highly organized, and solid customer service skills. The position was full-time, only a few miles away from home, and in a booming industry. With that in mind, Amy applied, had a great interview, and was hired that week. Three months later, Amy’s title changed from administrative assistant to project manager.
After graduating college as a Marketing and Public Relations double major, Amy completed several internships for various companies, including Interop Technologies, a virtualized IP network and mobile communication solution provider, and Make-A-Wish® Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that grants “wishes” to children with life-threating medical conditions. To date Amy has over four years of project management experience at Design & Promote, working as the liaison between the design department and clients.
Outside The Office...
When Amy is not busy keeping Design & Promote running, she loves to perform at karaoke every chance she gets. The rest of the time, you can find her cheering on the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox.

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
